Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Krupsxp2070 Combination coffee/espresso maker Comment: This machine is easy to use, easy to clean, makes good coffee and expressos. The wand is easy to utilize. Only issue is the top of the carafe: The lid and its hinge are not extremely durable and the hinge has broken, allowing the lid to fall-off for the unaware person. I would buy this machine, again. Would want a grinder within this machine for under $500...... Customer Rating: Summary: Awful, terrible and also the worst! Comment: We had an earlier version of a Krups unit which was very good. When it was time to replace that unit, ok, another Krups sounds good! We should have done more research. The Krups has the following downsides and no upsides as far as I can tell: 1) Very confusing and non-user-friendly instructions and buttons 2) VERY NOISY!! 3) leaks water 4) difficult to clean the frothing unit We eventually were given a Delonghi unit which is much, much better. Customer Rating: Summary: Don't buy it Comment: Thinking the Krups brand name had quality behind it, I bought this machine. It lasted for a week and then stopped working. The design is flimsy and the water leaks inside the unit. Now when I plug it in the electrical socket the light does not come on at all. Don't waste your money on this junk. Customer Rating: Summary: Design Horror Comment: Received as a gift. Hideous expanse of cheap-looking aluminum on face. Takes about an acre of counter space. Needs lots of clearance above it to fill the reservoir, which may be a problem if you place on kitchen countertop like mine and have cabinets above it. Heavy, so sliding it out from under those upper cabinets is a chore. You will have to rely on other postings to receive insight on the operation of the unit, as above aesthetic and practical deficiencies inspired me to donate to charity before use. Customer Rating: Summary: Electronics broke, carafe replacement took over 2 months! Comment: I bought this combo-machine for my husband's birthday 2 years ago. The electronics were broken within the first 2 months of average use. The lights blink wildly and the espresso side doesn't stop brewing, unless you push the button (which means you have to stand right next to it during brewing). The foaming worked sometimes, sometimes it did not. The plastic cover of the tray that collects the condensed water has peeled off. I'm very disappointed with this purchase. I bought it because I was raised in Germany and know the Krups brand as very reliable and high-quality - unfortunately not with this machine. I'm throwing it away now and recommend either to go for a more expensive machine or for two separate ones (one for coffee, one for espresso). More Reviews

It features a 15 bar pump driven system with a die-cast thermoblock-heating element. The filter basket is conveniently stored in the lid and has a perfect froth steam nozzle. Programmable for size and strength of espresso as well as wake up coffee. With a cup warming tray, removable water tank with optional water filtration, easy on/off button, visible water level indicator, and anti-drip system, this machine is a coffee lover's dream.
